Raleigh General Hospital Welcomes General Surgeon, Dr. Nikhilesh Chitibomma

Raleigh General Hospital announced that Nikhilesh Chitibomma has joined Raleigh Advanced Surgery, bringing advanced training in general, laparoscopic and robotic surgery to the practice
Dr. Chitibomma brings specialized training in general, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He recently completed a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic, robotic and bariatric surgery at Alta Bates Medical Center. Before his fellowship, he completed a categorical residency in general surgery through Southwest Healthcare Medical Consortium and preliminary general surgery training at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.

Dr. Chitibomma earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from NRI Medical College. His professional background also includes colorectal surgery research with Cleveland Clinic Foundation and research and presentations focused on laparoscopic procedures, surgical treatment and trauma-related injuries. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.
