Raleigh General Introduces Floor Cleaning Robot, Invites Community to Help Name It

Raleigh General Hospital is continuing its commitment to creating a clean, safe, and healing environment for patients, visitors, and staff with the addition of a new autonomous floor cleaning robot to its Environmental Services team.
The new cleaning robot, from Peppermint Robotics, uses advanced autonomous technology to help maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital while supporting Environmental Services staff in their daily work. Designed to efficiently clean large floor areas, the robot allows team members to focus on detailed cleaning and patient-centered tasks that contribute to a positive healthcare experience.
“Our Environmental Services team plays an essential role in patient care and safety every single day,” said Bryan Thompson, Environmental Services Director at Raleigh General Hospital. “This new technology helps support our staff while enhancing our ability to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors.”
As part of the launch, Raleigh General Hospital is inviting the community to help name the hospital’s newest team member.
