Raleigh General Wound Care Center Earns Three National Awards

Beckley, W.Va. (May 15, 2026) - Raleigh General Hospital Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine has received three national recognitions from Healogics, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services, highlighting the program’s exceptional patient outcomes, clinical excellence, and commitment to high-quality care. The center was recognized with the:
- Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award
- President’s Circle Award
- Center of Distinction Award
These prestigious honors place Raleigh General Hospital Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine among the top-performing wound care centers in the nation within the Healogics network of nearly 600 hospital outpatient Wound Care Centers®.
The Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award recognizes centers that score in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers® for clinical excellence, measured by comprehensive healing rates weighted by wound mix. The award is named in honor of Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
The President’s Circle Award is Healogics’ highest honor and recognizes centers that demonstrate exceptional performance in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and operational excellence over a sustained period of time.
The Center of Distinction Award recognizes wound care centers that achieve outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate higher than 92 percent.

Raleigh General Hospital Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine provides highly specialized, evidence-based wound care for patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds.
Advanced wound care modalities offered by the center include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, growth factor therapies, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy works by surrounding patients with 100 percent oxygen to help accelerate healing in select chronic wounds by increasing oxygen delivery to affected tissue.
