June 13, 2025
Raleigh General Hospital is proud to announce that its Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center has received two prestigious national awards from Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services. These honors—the Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award and the Center of Distinction Award—recognize the Center’s outstanding performance in delivering advanced, compassionate, and effective wound care throughout the 2024 calendar year.
The Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award is presented to Wound Care Centers® that rank in the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics centers nationwide, based on clinical excellence measures such as the Comprehensive Healing Rate weighted by wound mix. The award is named in honor of Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and former Chief Medical Officer for Healogics.
Additionally, the Center received the Center of Distinction Award for achieving exceptional clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate above 92 percent and a healing rate that surpasses national benchmarks.
“These recognitions are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our clinical team,” said Justin LeMoine, Chief Operating Officer at Raleigh General Hospital. “Our top priority is to provide high-quality healthcare close to home, and this accomplishment demonstrates one of the many ways we continually strive to enhance and improve our service.”
“I want to offer my sincerest gratitude to my team for their work and commitment,” added Terri Stanley, Program Director at the Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center. “This award is a huge honor; our relentless effort and dedication helped us reach our goals as a team. I want to thank every person involved—at the end of the day, it’s about taking care of our patients.”
As a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers®, the Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized care for patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds.
Treatment modalities include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bio-engineered tissues, biosynthetic dressings, and growth factor therapies. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, a highly effective treatment that accelerates healing by surrounding patients with 100 percent oxygen in a pressurized chamber.
These awards reflect the Center’s unwavering commitment to excellence and its mission to restore health and quality of life to patients across the region.
