Raleigh General Hospital Celebrates 20th Anniversary of LifePoint Health with Donation to the Fraternal Order of Police “Cops and Kids” benefit. Contribution supports hospital’s mission of Making Communities Healthier®

Beckley, WV – (May 28^th 2019) – This month, Raleigh General Hospital is celebrating the 20^th anniversary of LifePoint Health, the health system of which it is a part, with a donation to the Fraternal Order of Police. This donation is part of a national anniversary celebration in which LifePoint has contributed $2,000 to causes in each of the 89 communities it serves nationwide. The Fraternal Order of Police was chosen by the hospital team at Raleigh General because it reflects LifePoint’s and Raleigh General Hospital’s mission of Making Communities Healthier^®.

LifePoint was founded in May 1999 as LifePoint Hospitals with 23 community hospitals in nine state.

As part of its national anniversary celebration, LifePoint has committed $2,000 to support causes in each of its communities. Hospitals within these communities were encouraged to select a charitable cause of their choice that reflects the needs of their respective regions. Raleigh General Hospital chose Black Diamond Lodge 81, Fraternal Order of Police for their “Cops and Kids” benefit.  This program is to not only help needy children in Raleigh County, but to also promote a positive image so that police officers are seen as someone to run to instead of away from.
