Senior Friends' Calendar of Events
Monthly Seminars held the last Wednesday of every month - at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. Doors open for health clinic at 9:00 am. Seminar at 11:00 am and lunch served at noon. Call the Senior Friends Office for more details 304.256.4276.
Bowling -- First Wednesday of each month at 1pm at Leisure Lanes, Beckley. Join our Team Captains George and Margot Basham for 3 fun games of bowling. You don't have to be a pro, just be willing to laugh, play, and have fun. You might even win a prize! Cost is $6.00 which includes 3 games and shoes.

Gym Workout -- Every Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM at R.C. Commission on Aging (422 City Avenue, Beckley).
RGH has partnered with the Commission on Aging to provide you with the proper equipment to work out on your own. Before beginning, stop by on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM for an evaluation by the fitness trainer.
Kick Boxing - Every Tuesday and Thursday 6:45 PM - 7:45 PM at the Beckley YMCA.
Quilt Club - First Monday of each month 10:00 AM at the Beckley Art Center.Stretch & Flexbility - Every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging (422 City Avenue, Beckley).
Morning Yoga - Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM - Beckley YMCA.
Evening Yoga -- Every Tuesday and Thursday 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging (422 City Avenue, Beckley).
Yoga is the bringing together of physical, emotional and spiritual parts of ourselves. While building your body strength doing yoga, you are also improving your cardiac and pulmonary systems.
Water Aerobics -- Every Tuesday and Thursday - You have 2 times to pick from. The 1st Class is 7:30am - 8:30am and the 2nd Class is 9am to 10am at the Beckley YMCA.
Water aerobics enables you to burn up calories much more efficiently. During 30 minutes of jogging you would normally burn 240 calories while during deep water walking you could burn 340 calories. No appointment necessary. Please arrive no more than 30 minutes before class time.
Zumba - Every Monday and Friday 4:45pm - 5:45pm and also every Wednesday 5:30pm - 6:30pm at the Beckley YMCA.
