Raleigh General Hospital Donates More than $30,000 to United Way of West Virginia
November 15, 2016
This week, Raleigh General Hospital (RGH) presented the United Way of West Virginia with a check for more than $30,000 to help support families impacted by the devastating floods that struck the region in June. The gift was made possible by generous donations from the hospital's leadership team, physicians, employees, Senior Friends, and volunteers.
"At Raleigh General Hospital, we are deeply committed to our mission of Making Communities Healthier, and we wanted to find a way to help alleviate the burden for those who lost so much in the floods," said Matt Roberts, CEO of Raleigh General Hospital. "We are proud to support the United Way as it works to rebuild our community and give hope to the families that are still trying to pick up the pieces. I'm so grateful for our team's efforts and generosity, and their continued support of the people of West Virginia."
Matt Roberts, CEO, Joe Wilkins, COO, Dr. Ali Sulieman, and Dr. Tony Kelly presented the check to Margaret Ann O'Neal of the United Way of Southern West Virginia at Raleigh General Hospital on November 15. The United Way plans to use the funds to continue working on flood recovery through partnerships with Long Term Recovery Groups in several hard hit counties.
