Dr. Tony Kelly Appointed Physician Advisor

Raleigh General Hospital today announced that Tony Kelly, MD has been appointed as its new physician advisor. Dr. Kelly has been with Raleigh General Hospital since 1995 providing emergency medical care to the Beckley community and surrounding areas.

In this new role, Dr. Kelly will serve as a liaison to the medical staff for quality and resource management communicating relevant data, trends, and practice patterns. He will participate in and support colleagues in assessing services and providing education on core measures and other standards of patient care. As a member of the Quality Council and Utilization Management Committees, Dr. Kelly will serve to ensure the most effective and efficient use of the hospital's resources, and will actively participate in medical staff events.

His expertise and years of experience will continue to benefit patients and hospital staff as he transitions to his new role."   

Dr. Kelly is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, and is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Kelly is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Emergency Medicine, the West Virginia State Medical Association, and a past President of the West Virginia Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
