Cardiac Care
2 South is a 29-bed telemetry unit. We care for cardiac catheterization patients and also provide basic heart rhythm monitoring.The staff is highly qualified and provides quality patient care with compassion and caring attitudes. Most RN's on staff are ACLS certified; all have had continued education in regard to rhythm interpretation.
Cardiac Care Stepdown
Cardiac Care Stepdown is a 12-bed critical care area for patients that are ready to move from the intensive care unit but require more monitoring than is offered on the basic nursing units. All RN's and most LPN's completed Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Critical Care classes.
Cardiac Catheterization
Raleigh General Hospital has a cardiac cath lab available for inpatient and outpatient catheterizations under the direction of your cardiologist. Angiograms and other related procedures are also available with a radiologist performing these exams.
